THIRD ACTion Film Festival 2020: The Best Is Yet To Come Screening Start Time: 10:30AM (MST) Bayandalai - Lord of The Taiga: From inside his yurt deep within the heart of the Taiga, Bayandalai - an elder of the Dukhas tribe - muses about the significance of life and death in the largest forest on Earth. He is the last of the great reindeer herders of the Taiga. (Mongolian with English subtitles) Rainbow Elders: It’s a surprising phenomenon: even after being “out” for decades, seniors feel pressure to hide their sexuality. A group of aging LGBTQ2+ individuals navigate concerns around housing and inclusion late in life. In A Different Space: Challenging notions of ageism, fear of ageing and body image, In A Different Space celebrates and showcases elders aged 60 to 101 years dancing their stories in places of significance to them. Radical: Deanne Foley profiles fellow Newfoundlander Mary Walsh, the Great Warrior Queen of Canadian comedy, musing on time wasted as an object of desire and time well spent as the fearless agent of her own destiny. A joyous call to action. Never Too Old: An in depth and intimate portrait of Olive Bryanton’s research subjects. Through their photographs and stories, the women illustrate what aging is really like for them in rural P.E.I. Hosted by Judy Steiert with Special Guests Derek Moser, Olive Bryanton, Marcia Connelly. All screenings have subtitles or closed captioning and there will be an ASL interpreter during discussions.
