In September 2018, Lily was awarded the Decoration of Honour in Gold for services to the Republic of Austria and was received by the Austrian President and Chancellor. In May 2019, Lily traveled back to Austria for the opening of an exhibit of her artwork at the Jewish Museum of Vienna. She visited her childhood home and the elementary school she attended. Lily also celebrated her 98th birthday in Vienna.The Mayor welcomed her back home. Lily is currently living in the same apartment on the Upper East Side for the past 60 years where she raised her two children. Besides her kids, Lily has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
