CYA announces an exciting new movie party for the musical sensational hit movie Grease. On September 29, 2019 at 5pm PT/8pm ET, fans get the opportunity to watch the movie while video chatting live online with original cast member Didi Conn “Frenchy” only on Cya Live. The screening will be live online on https://www.cya.live/event/303 Fans across the US and Canada can watch and join in the live conversation from their laptops or Apple devices by downloading the latest Cya Live app in the AppStore.

Grease (1978) follows the iconic high school summer love attraction between greaser Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and good girl Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John). A theatrical feature film debut for director Randal Kleiser and written by Bronte Woodard, Grease is based on Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s 1971 musical. Cya Live special guest, Frenchy (Didi Conn), is part of the Pink Ladies who were led by Rizzo (Stockard Channing) while Doody (Barry Pearl) is part of the T-Birds led by Kenickie (Jeff Conaway).
The 1978 best selling album charts in the United States ended with Grease’s soundtrack album as the second-best behind Saturday Night Fever’s 1977 blockbuster soundtrack. Grease became the highest-grossing musical film ever at one point in time, successful critically and commercially.
Born in Brooklyn, New York and making her debut as an actress in the 1960s, Didi Conn is best known for her work as Frenchy in Grease, Denise Stevens Downey in Benson and Stacy Jones in Shining Time Station. Didi Conn was recently on UK’s morning talk show This Morning and spoke of some production of Cinderella updates, Dancing On Ice friends and her lasting love for Olivia Newton-John.
